CutiePie, Bubba and Precious
One might ask, what does a Dog's Life! mean? Well, it used to mean that the dog would sleep outside rain or shine and if lucky would have a dog house. Today, it means the dog sleeps in the owners bed or has their own room with luxurious furniture. They eat out of fine china bowls, wear the cutest clothes and boots and is carried in a glamorous pet carrier, because you don't dare leave your precious dog at home alone. You bath them in spa products you would use on yourself, use the same perfume scent you use, has a Swarovski crystal collar or better yet a stunning necklace, and don't dare forget the Doggles to top it off. Some might laugh and bicker at people who dress and treat their dogs as if they are children, that is only because they do not understand or might not have a dog or cat to know what TRUE, UNCONDITIONAL LOVE IS.
Your dog won't talk back to you, won't call you bad names, won't leave you for someone else, BUT they will give you kisses, follow you around, cry when you leave because they
miss you, greet you at the door with a toy, protect you and so much more. This is why I bought this company from Joanne, so others can spoil their pooch as they deserve it.
Three of my 4 Grandchildren and the Fur Babies
I had two dogs. SweetiePie and CutiePie. SweetiePie is a senior Bichon Frise. She was adopted from the Houston SPCA during the Christmas season. They were showing dogs in the Nieman Marcus Galleria Store. A friend brought the Bichon to show me while I was working at NM and busy with a client. SweetiePie was a little dirty and had her hair cut short due to severe matting, but there was an undeniable bond between us and I could not say no. She was a dainty lady who loved to cuddle and have her belly rubbed. CutiePie was adopted from a Bichon Rescue Group as a puppy. She loves to play with all her toys and is so much fun watching her toss and chase after her toys. Both my ladies love to dress up and show off their outfits.
October 2011 Update
I currently have 4 Bichons. CutiePie, Bubba, Dazy Mae and Buddy. The store is too small to bring these lovable trouble makers with me, but when I return home, you would laugh at the commotion greeting me as I walk through the door. Dazy Mae had 4 puppies and will now be fixed. Some of my customers wanted a Bichon and I did not want them to possibly go to a Puppy Mill.
About six years ago my daughter Joanne started A Dog's Life in the Sugar Land Town Square after she went shopping to find clothes and cute accessories finding little that pleased her. She had been thinking of starting a pet boutique for some time but kept putting it off
until she could not find anything for her 'Abby' and realized it was time to get started.
Since the store opened it has won two awards, one for Best Dog Clothing Shop,
another for Best Boutique. You should come on by and see why the awards were earned....
I had been helping out, spending time at the store, loving every minute of it. When my precious daughter decided to close the store because of time constraints, many people said to me please don't close, this store is to wonderful to lose. So I bought it and here I am loving the time, loving my customers and their dogs.
Well, here it is, Joanne and now I have searched long and hard to find the cutest clothes and accessories to offer you, I will always add new items so keep checking. If you are looking for something specific that is not in the store, please let us know so I can do the searching for you, we are here to HELP YOU spoil your pooch! I have temporarily discontinued the on-line shopping cart, but look at the many items we are showing and call us for personalized service.
